An English course specially designed for students from all the studies in our Faculty who want to be better prepared to follow the subjects and activities that will be done in English throughout the different degrees, especially for students whose English level is lower than B2. These dynamic one-hour sessions help you prepare for the English subjects that are taken in the second year of some degrees and also for the Psychology subjects and other degrees that are taken in CLIL mode. The approach is academic and designed to help students participate fully in all aspects of university life that involve the use of this language.

Objectives

To provide students from the different degrees of the Faculty with the English language skills they need to succeed at university.

Target audience

Undergraduate students (especially first-year students).

Contents

This course is specially designed for undergraduate students in our Faculty. Some subjects or some activities within the subjects of our degrees will be taught, increasingly, in English. All students must be prepared to successfully face them, to participate fully and to do university-level work in this language. This course is aimed primarily at students who start the first year with a level below B2 (CEFR). The class consists of reading, writing, listening and speaking activities, all with an academic focus and designed to prepare students to better perform the subjects and activities they will do throughout the degree. The materials used will all be related to the disciplines of the Faculty and the transversal skills of university studies. The aim is to ensure that students have the English skills they will need throughout the degree.
