Voice disorders in childhood are very common and have always been difficult to address. Looking at children's vocal phenomena requires a broad and dynamic perspective. For this reason, we are organizing a comprehensive monograph to gain a deeper understanding of children's dysphonia and to practise speech therapy intervention strategies as much as possible
Objective
Provide the participants with the theoretical and practical resources to address the vocal technique and speech therapy intervention children's dysphonia with quality and up-to-date information, from a holistic perspective of the pathology (multidisciplinary approach).
Specific objectives
To have knowledge of the anatomical-physio-pathological bases of children's voice and its disorders (functional and congenital origin) and how to intervene through voice re-education.
Have knowledge about acoustics applied to the exploration and intervention of vocal disorders in children.
Have tools for a correct exploration and assessment of vocal disorders in children.
Relate the basic elements of vocal technique with the re-education techniques that are commonly used in the field of vocal disorders in children.
Have tools to apply body work to vocal work in children, in relation to both spoken and singing voice.
Have tools to detect possible vocal pathologies in the music classroom or choir.
Learn how children's voices develop and thus be able to adapt the repertoire and vocalizations in a healthy way.
Intended participants
Holders of diplomas and graduates in Speech and Language Therapy; holders of diplomas, degree holders and graduates who have completed specialization courses in speech and language therapy; university graduates and doctors with an interest in voice disorders; music teachers and singing coaches; directors of children's choirs.

To be eligible for the certificate of completion, attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of the course.
