This course is aimed at providing students with linguistic tools needed to face basic daily communicative situations.

Objectives
To introduce foreign students to the Catalan language and culture.
To help foreign students in their integration into the university community.
To help foreign students acquire a level of Catalan that allows them to communicate and develop within the Catalan society.
Method
Classes will follow a communicative approach from real productions (both oral and written) in the university and extra-university context. The method will be dynamic and communicative, and will encourage oral participation in class, aiming to improve the four linguistic skills. Grammar and vocabulary knowledge will be extended and consolidated.
