COMSAL research group: Do you want to enhance your well-being in three months by joining an intensive training, Txikung or Mindfulness experience?
We are seeking university students from 18 to 25 years old to take part in the YoungFitT research project: Active Young, Healthy Mind: Strategies for brain health and psychological well-being in young adults: A randomized mixed-method study with and without virtual reality, coordinated by the University of Barcelona and involving researchers from the Communication and Health Research Group of the School.

Were you looking forward to a new Green Week at the School? Well, it's here! From Monday, February 12 until Friday, February 16, Alumni Week is coming to Blanquerna FPCEE. You will be treated to the experience of listening to a hundred alumni from all the School's degrees who have outstanding professional careers. You will be able to do so in the School's Provoli, in a "Coffee with alumni" and in other activities, such as exhibitions or in the School's Twitch.
Dr. Marc Polo is the new Dean of the Blanquerna-URL School of Communication and International Relations
Dr. Marc Polo is from today the new dean of the Blanquerna-URL School of Communication and International Relations. The appointment comes after the resignation, for personal reasons, of Dr. Josep Lluís Micó.
Nursing students, basic life support teachers
Last January 29th, 4th year nursing students, as part of the Learning and Service practices subject, were teachers of a basic life support class at the Ronald McDonald House Barcelona.
Dr. Josep Maria Carbonell: "We have to make Blanquerna become the space of humanization that Pope Francis talks about"
The day of Sant Tomàs, which was celebrated on the 26th, began with the speeches of Dr. Josep Maria Carbonell, president of Blanquerna, and Dr. Giorgia Miotto, general director. The last part of the day featured a lecture-talk by Professor Javier Solana, president of EsadeGeo (Esade's center for global economics and geopolitics) and former secretary general of NATO (see section of the report).
Dr. Giorgia Miotto: "Blanquerna has approved the first single Research Plan for the entire Foundation"
On the institutional balance and future projection, Dr. Giorgia Miotto reviewed the five aspects of the strategic framework: teaching, research, management, external relations and internationalization. With regard to teaching, she highlighted the success of the Blanquerna proposal in relation to the PAPs in Education, which has made it possible to recover the number of enrollments of a few years ago; she also expressed pride in having the first class of the University Specialization Diploma in Social and Labor Inclusion at the FPCEE, which graduated last June. And finally, she highlighted the importance of the bachelor degree in Journalism and Corporate Communication being positioned as number one in Spain in the CYD ranking, compiled by the Fundación Conocimiento y Desarrollo (Knowledge and Development Foundation).
Javier Solana: "In 2024, half of the world's population will be able to vote in more or less democratic elections, and this will determine the future"
The second part of the Sant Tomàs event was attended by Professor Javier Solana, president of EsadeGeo (Esade's center for global economy and geopolitics) and former secretary general of NATO, who delivered the conference “Testigo de un tiempo incierto” , the title of his latest book. It was presented by Dr. Xavier Mendoza, Director General of Esade, and the talk was led by Blanquerna professor Onno Seroo, Director of the Bachelor Degree in International Relations.
