URL, environmentally responsible and mindful of future generations

URL, aware of the finite nature of resources and the serious global environmental crisis, has undertaken to comply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UNESCO Declaration. This commitment is transversely reflected in the University's daily academic activity with the aim of impacting the social reality it is part of.

Regarding the ranking in question, it is worth noting that initiatives in reducing consumption and the commitment to green technologies led by the Decarbonization Working Group have resulted in being the area in which URL has obtained the highest score.

This Group works on the actions defined in the Climate Action Roadmap of the Universitat Ramon Llull, which includes commitments and forecasts for reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) at URL, such as adherence to commitments presented by the Government within the framework of the first Catalan Climate Action Summit.

This action plan to reduce URL's CO2 footprint, along with driving the Agenda 2030 under the coordination of the Commission led by Dr. Janette Martell, or actions aimed at promoting gender equality and inclusion at the University, are the main axes of action that have positively contributed to the QS Sustainability Ranking classification.
