TV3 broadcasts a documentary made by a Blanquerna FCRI crew
«El jardí de les flors del presseguer. Els Xiquets de Hangzhou» tells the story of a colla castellera (human castle-building group) formed by workers of the textile factory in Hangzhou (China) Antex and their efforts to be admitted in the Biennial of Tarragona, the most important castellers contest in the world.
The documentary was produced by former students of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, Enric Ribes and Oriol Martinez and the production professor at the School, Oriol Gispert and alumna Marta Palacín.
In 2009, on a trip to Catalonia, the director of the textile factory, Qian Anhua, discovered the castellers, a festival he decided to export to his country to lift the morale of its employees. It is at this point that the first and only colla castellera was born in China: the Hangzhou Xiquets.
You can retrieve the documentary in Sense Ficció of Televisió de Catalunya.
