Statement regarding the current political situation
October 23, 2017
Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations (Ramon Llull University) expresses its position as strongly opposed to the application in Catalonia of article 155 of the Constitution.
At the same time, the Schools affirms its defense of dialogue and negotiation as the mechanisms that are appropriate for resolving political conflicts.
In particular, the School wishes to show its firm rejection of the intention to intervene in the Catalan public media, which constitutes an unacceptable attack on freedom of expression, the right to information and, ultimately, on the most essential pillars of democracy.
