A Saló de l’Ensenyament adapted to students with autism
This year, the organization of the Saló de l’Ensenyament has issued a statement explaining the collaborations with the Department of Education to work on certain measures aimed at inclusion. One of these measures involves offering an event that is more "friendly and open" to students with autism and their families, so that they can learn about inclusive post-compulsory training options.
The event will take place on March 13 from 5 to 7 pm., where this group will be able to access the Saló de l’Ensenyament with fewer visitors, lower volume and less intense lighting. Accordingly, the stands are asked to provide adequate support to people from this group during this time slot.
At the Inclusive Education area of the Department's stand, people can request an accreditation card that allows them to consult the study offers without waiting in line.
Finally, they are asked to be sensitive to these visitors and during this day and time, to speed up the consultations, not to play music or use the loudspeakers for the activities, and to turn off or reduce the light intensity of the stands. Likewise, visitors will be informed of this action to raise awareness and help to carry it out.
