Blanquerna-URL showcases its educational offer at the Education Fair

March 15, 2024

The future campus of Health Sciences, the launch of Nexus as a cross-cutting learning space in the School of Psychology and Educational and Sports Sciences, and the strengthening of the morning and midday studies in communication degrees will mark the 2024/25 academic year.

For yet another year, Blanquerna is showcasing its academic innovations and its educational offer at the Education Fair. Offering 17 bachelor's degrees, 9 double majors, 21 master's degrees and 43 own degrees and doctorates, in keeping with its vocation for innovation, Blanquerna has unveiled the following new features to prospective students and their families:

At the school of Health Sciences we are presenting a new Campus with 10,000 square meters in the heart of Barcelona, in the district of Eixample, in a privileged location with a long-standing health tradition in Barcelona (between the Sant Pau hospital and the Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili), which will be operational from within two years. Here, apart from the bachelor's degrees that we currently already teach such as Nursing, Physiotherapy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Engineering and Pharmacy, a new degree in Medicine will be offered (in the process of accreditation).

At the School of Psychology, Education and Sports Sciences there are two new axes. In the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, three time slots will be introduced to study the degree. We are the sole Catalan university that offers three time slots with such flexibility to adapt to the students' sports careers and their training schedules. And the "Nexus" project, a new cross-cutting inter-professional learning space, where students from all degrees (Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, Sports Management, Early Childhood and Primary Education) will meet. The purpose of this interdisciplinary space is to get as close as possible to the professional experience that students will have in their work environment.

School of Communication and International Relations. With the aim of meeting the requests of future students to balance academic studies with social and sports life, we have reinforced the offer of communication degrees in the morning and midday, which are the most demanded time slots. Furthermore, we have stepped up the offer of internships abroad for students of the two degrees that are taught entirely in English, Global Communication Management and International Relations, so as to provide more opportunities for international mobility. And, in response to the growing number of students from Latin America, specific itineraries of subjects exclusively in Spanish will be implemented. Furthermore, for the past three months there has been a new dean, Dr. Marcos Polo, who will drive new lines of action.
