Dr. Josep Maria Carbonell, President of Blanquerna-URL, met the new President of Emerson College, Jay M. Bernhardt, in Boston last August to strengthen the strategic partnership with Blanquerna-URL.The Emerson-Blanquerna Center for Global Communication is a forerunner in Europe. Its three core branches, engagement, research and education, will make it one of Europe's first knowledge centers in the field. It will bring together organizations and companies from all around the world to innovate in the field of strategic communication and public and business relations.

This partnership offers support for undergraduate degrees, such as Global Communication Management, and postgraduate degrees, such as the International Master's Degree in Strategic Management of Global Communication. It is also leading professional participation in this field, through initiatives such as the IPRA Golden World Award for Excellence in Public Relations 2018.
