Competency in a third language
Students who entered university in 2014-15 and 2015-16 are reminded that, since last year, the Generalitat has required students to certify their competency in a third language (English, French, German or Italian) at level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages before being awarded their degrees.
Here you will find a table of certificates, which tells you which exams are officially recognized and what grade you must get on those exams. For French, German and Italian, please, download the PDF document and see from page 5 to 8.
You will also find information about different ways to obtain financial aid to defray the cost of the CLUC exam once you have taken and passed it (see "Modalitat A") or of taking supplementary courses to reach level B2 (see "Modalitat B" and "Modalitat C"). Download this PDF document to see all of the information about financial aid.
The Office of the Registrar will shortly be informing students about how and when to turn in their certification of level B2, which will then be recorded in the student's academic record.
