“Ciutat Morta”, Blanquerna Award for Best Communicator 2014
The documentary “Ciutat Morta”, directed and produced by Xavier Artigas and Carlos “Xapo" Ortega in 2013, has been chosen to receive the Blanquerna Award for Best Communicator 2014.
The School’s students and faculty highlighted the documentary’s quality and commitment "by which they managed to get voices heard that tend to get lost in the media and judicial labyrinths, and that the public also wants to hear," as was stated in the verdict.
"Ciutat Morta" narrates the events following a series of arrests that the city police conducted on February 4th, 2006, while carrying out the eviction of an occupied building in Barcelona.
The award ceremony will take place on March 12th, as part of Blanquerna’s 21st Communication Conferences.
