We are talking to Oriol Prats, 4+1 alumnus and community manager of El Barrio
Oriol Prats, a 4+1 student who is currently studying a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Corporate Communication, is the community manager of the team El Barrio, winner of the first split of the Kings League.
He has been tasked with revitalizing the social networks of the leading team of the first edition of the Kings League, the 7-a-side soccer league created by ex-footballer Gerard Piqué in 2022.
What are you studying?
My name is Oriol Prats Fernández, I am a 4+1 student at Blanquerna. I studied a bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication and now I'm studying a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Corporate Communication. I also work as community manager for the El Barrio team, champions of the first Kings League split, on Instagram and TikTok.
Awesome! Have you done this with other classmates?
That's right. I have two colleagues, who are in their third year of their bachelor's degree in Journalism and Corporate Communication, who have worked covering the Kings League: Juli Claramunt at Jijantes, mass media covering Barça, who finished last, winning only one game, and Arnau Canals at Post United, who from a journalistic perspective has been able to interview the familiar faces of this world.
How did you get that job?
Through Blanquerna and the contacts I made at the university, thanks to alumni Carlos Monfort (Journalism, 2022) one of my best friends, who works at Jijantes with Juli Claramunt. While he was at the World Cup he made contacts and one of them was the president of the team El Barrio, and they asked me to be the community manager for the team.
