TV3 and American Writer, Screenwriter David Simon, winners of Blanquerna Awards for Best Communicators
Television of Catalonia and the creator of the acclaimed American series «The Wire», David Simon, are the winners of the 22nd edition of the Blanquerna Awards for Best Communicators.
The Dean of our School, Josep Maria Carbonell, along with Professor Joan Maria Clavaguera, presented this award — given to TV3 «for its responsiveness, deployment and informative rigor in covering the attacks in Paris in November — to journalists from the Catalan public broadcaster Esteve Soler, Carles Esteve and Agustí Prats on Thursday, March 10 in the Auditorium. This award, which is given annually during the Blanquerna conferences, is chosen by voting among students and teachers from Blanquerna FCRI.
Also during the ceremony, the director of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, Francesc Vilallonga, announced that the American journalist, writer and screenwriter David Simon has been awarded the Special Prize of Communication Blanquerna, which is given by the direction of the School. Simon, who thanked Blanquerna for this recognition in a video screened during the event, will visit Blanquerna FCRI on April 7, when he will offer a masterclass organized jointly between the School and Serielizados.
