The School signs a collaboration agreement with the scriptwriting residency directed by filmmaker Carla Simón
This Monday, the School signed a sponsorship and collaboration agreement with the Catalan Film Academy to give voice to the Academy's Scriptwriting Residency, a scriptwriting incubator for fiction feature films directed by filmmaker Carla Simón.
This project of the Catalan Film Academy is the first incubator of its kind in Catalonia, and also the first to host Catalan-language projects and guarantee their participation.
The Residency offers the eight selected projects stable support for nine months, which will include monitoring from an assigned advisor, a grant of €1,400 per month per project, as well as a full program of master classes and workshops by national and international speakers, and various industry networking activities, including regular meetings with the main players working in Catalonia, a pitching session with Catalan companies and companies from the rest of Spain, and individual meetings between projects and producers. The selected projects will also be able to enjoy two work placements outside Barcelona in the initial and final phase of the Residency.
