"My first documentary" course taught by Èric Motjer
From 15 to 17 May, DocsBarcelona and Blanquerna FCRI will be offering the course "My first documentary” for students, graduates and professionals who want to take their first steps in this audiovisual genre.
The course will be taught by Èric Motjer, director and cinematographer. Trained in Barcelona in audiovisual production (IDEP), he studied documentary film in EICTV in Cuba and Filmbase in Dublin, Ireland. Master in documentary film by ESCAC, he has worked as director and director of photography for different national and international television.
He has directed the documentary Minut de glòria (2011, 32') premiered at the Athens International Film Festival and programmed at festivals such as Atlantidoc, Aljazeera Documentary Film Festival or DocsBarcelona. He has also directed the documentary Kursaal, la força de la gent (2017, 52') and is working in the direction of international production Beirut, la vie en rose (2018).
The course aims to provide the necessary tools for participants to learn how to transform an idea into a great documentary. This course is the result of an agreement signed between DocsBarcelona and the School.
