The Governing Council of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation (CCMA) appointed Jordi Borda as the new director of Catalunya Ràdio on Monday, July 25, following the conclusion of the public process.
Borda has a degree in Journalism (1998) from the Ramon Llull University at the Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations (FCRI) and a postgraduate degree in Digital Journalism from the same university.
The new director of Catalan public radio has extensive experience in the world of radio journalism: between 1999 and 2016 he was sports editor at Catalunya Ràdio, in 2003 he became the head of information about Barcelona Football Club, a position he held until 2016. That year, he was appointed deputy director of Catalunya Ràdio, and from April 2022 he served as acting director.
His passion for sports journalism has led him to become a professor at the School where he studied for his Master degree in Sports Journalism, and where in recent years he has been able to pass on his knowledge to our students.
Congratulations to our former student and all the best in this new chapter!
