III Conference of Data Journalism and Open Data
For the third consecutive year, the Open Knowledge Foundation-es is organizing the event of reference about data journalism in Spain, from june 3 to 7.
The so-called #JPD15 will be held in parallel in Barcelona, Madrid and Pamplona. The event lasts for five days, with conferences, debates, Meet-up Data (meetings of local projects), workshops to learn new tools on open data and data journalism, and a Hackathon (a challenge for innovative projects) with multidisciplinary teams of professionals.
This year we have the honor of having with us independent media reporter, Al Shaw from ProPublica, one of the current references in investigative journalism; and the scientific journalist and data specialist, Elisabetta Tola, director of digital media 'Formicablue'.
Mar Cabra, one of the most important investigative journalists in Spain for all her work with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ); and also journalist Danielle Grasso, who works for the digital newspaper El Confidencial. Together, they will explain the case of Swiss Leaks, recently unveiled in the world press.
In Barcelona, the conference will be hosted at the CCCB, Caixaforum and Blanquerna FCRI.
