Digilab's DISINFTRUST project featured at Voices of Journalism Festival in Florence
Professor Dr. Elena Yeste and fourth year student Maria Camprodon of the Bachelor's Degree in Global Communication Management attended the Festival Voices (European Festival of Journal and Media Literacy), held in Florence from March 14 to 16, to showcase results of the project & Trust (DISINFTRUST) of the Digilab research group.
The team of fact-checking of Newtral, which is partner of the project together with the University of cardiff, prepared the visualization tool Human or AI?, a game in which participants were provided with several texts related to disinformation narratives and had to guess whether the article had been written by a human or by artificial intelligence.
The goal of the project DISINFTRUST is to gain a better understanding of the mechanisms that lead citizens to believe misleading content, as well as to test the real impact of misinformation narratives on various social groups in different countries.
