The Audiovisual Cluster selects two Final Degree Projects as finalists
This year's Pitching of the Cluster includes the participation of two projects created by students of the Degree in Cinema and Television, two documentaries that were developed throughout the academic year 2016-2017.
«Jeju Olle Trail, the Korean Way» by Celia Mesa, Mariona Vazquez, Anna Font and Álvaro Ortuño, discovers the unknown pilgrimage route created in South Korea as a replica of the famous Camino de Santiago, which seeks to be an escape route from the strong social and labor pressure of the Asian country.
«We are asexual», the second of the projects selected, by Mònica Garcia, Carlota Ibáñez and Èrica Rossell, focuses on eight witnesses who explain what is, and how they live with, asexuality. The lack of attraction and desire marks the starting point of an exploration that seeks to delve into the reality of this orientation through a first person account, in which the witnesses explain how they have faced up to the stereotypes marked by a hypersexualized society.
The two projects will participate in the 3rd Edition of the Pitching of the Audiovisual Cluster, an initiative resulting from the collaboration between Catalan universities and the network of companies that form the Cluster itself. The occasion is aimed to connect the talent of graduates in the audiovisual field with the main producers, television channels and companies of Catalonia.
The conference will be held on November 30th and December 1st at the CCCB Theater.
