transport
Both Barcelona and its transport area are very well connected with a public transport network, organized in 6 zones. Barcelona has 12 metro lines, 6 tram lines, more than 80 bus lines, 5 railway lines (Barcelona-Vallès), 16 commuter lines and a network of public bicycles.
You can check rates and maps at:
- Barcelona metro service Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona

- Bicing bicycle rental service
There are several options for going to the airport:
- If you want to use the metro, you have to take line 9 South and buy a one-way ticket (€ 4.60). The T-casual or single subway ticket is not valid for going from home to the airport. This line can take you to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
- If you want to take the train (RENFE), you can buy a ticket in Rodalies de Catalunya. The airport line is R2 North and the train will take you to Terminal 2. In case you need to catch a plane leaving Terminal 1, there is a bus connection that connects both terminals at no extra cost.
- If you prefer to go by bus, you can use the normal T-10 and go with line 46 or the Aerobus (in this case you have to buy a different ticket).
