- Royal Decree 99/2011 of January 28 regulating official PhD studies.
- Royal Decree 534/2013 of July 12, which amends royal degree 1393/2007 of October 29, which establishes the organization of official university education; 99/2011, of January 28, which regulates official PhD courses, and 1892/2008 of November 14, which regulates the conditions for admission to official university degree courses and the procedures for admission to Spanish public universities.
- Royal Decree 967/2014, of November 21, which establishes the requirements and the procedure for standardizing and recognizing the equivalence of official university degrees and academic standards and for the convalidation of foreign higher education studies, and the procedure for determining the correspondence to the levels of the Spanish qualifications framework for higher education of the official qualifications of architects, engineers, graduates, technical architects, technical engineers and holders of specialized diplomas.
