Scholarships awarded for academic excellence
The scholarships for academic excellence are 50% of the registration and tuition fees for one academic year for official degrees and, if academic excellence is maintained, they are extended to subsequent years and until the completion of the degree that the student is pursuing.
Scholarships awarded for academic excellence to undergraduate degree students
- School of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences: 6 places
- School of Health Sciences: 3 places
- School of Communication and International Relations: 5 places
In each School, one place will be reserved for students from outside Spain.
(*)Degree in Pharmacy (taught jointly by Blanquerna and IQS): 2 places (in the case of these two scholarships, 50% of enrollment fees and tuition is covered and the award process is different). All high school students with a minimum grade average of 8.5 and CFGS students with a minimum grade average of 9.0 who are entering the university for the first time are eligible to apply.
From March 3 to June 9, 2025.
You need to fill in the application form that will be activated from March 3 and attach the following documents:
- Certificate accrediting the grade average obtained
- Photocopy of ID card, NIE residence card or passport
- 1 passport-sized photograph
A specific test must be taken for each intended course of study.
- For students who completed high school in Catalonia, the rest of Spain or Andorra:
Date and place: June 16, 2025 at 10 am. The test will be done in person at the School where you want to study. - For foreign students who completed their high school education outside Spain or Andorra:
Date and place: June 16, 2025 at 10 am. The test will be done in virtual format.
Candidates will be sent the necessary information by email a few days in advance.
Blanquerna-URL reserves the right not to award all the scholarships when all applications and tests have been assessed.
You can apply for the Excellence Scholarship at the same time you go through the admissions process.
The resolution will be made public on June 27, 2025.
In the case of high school students who receive the scholarship, it will be effective if they submit the selectivity certificate or the request for the title homologation (for foreign high school diplomas) before June 25, 2025.
Scholarships for academic excellence awarded to official university master's degree students
- School of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences: 2 places
- School of Communication and International Relations: 2 places
- School of Health Sciences: 1 place
All university graduates directly accessing official university master's degree courses may apply, provided they have a minimum grade average of 7.5 in the university degree that renders them eligible. The grade average will be weighted by credits as follows:
- numerical: the grade score
- classification: pass-5.5, good-7.5, very good-9, excellent (matrícula d'honor)-10, validated/recognized-5.5, validated with qualification-the grade score.

The Blanquerna Foundation reserves the right not to award all the scholarships when all applications and tests have been assessed. In the event of a tie in the test, the School may decide to divide the scholarship between two candidates, covering 25% of tuition for each student. You can apply for the Excellence Scholarship at the same time you go through the admissions process.
The resolution will be made public on July 21, 2025. All applicants will receive the scholarship resolution personally. Faculties may decide to split the scholarship between two candidates at a rate of 25% to each student. The deadline for submitting the documentation is July 16, 2025.
