Academic Excellence Award

Academic excellence awards provide a 50% waiver on registration and tuition fees for one academic year in official degree programs. If academic excellence is maintained, the award extends to subsequent years until the student completes their current program.

Academic excellence awards for bachelor's degrees

One place is offered per bachelor's degree program, except for Medicine, which has five. If a place in any program remains unfilled, the award may be reassigned to another program. Some places may be covered by the sports excellence award.

  • School of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences: 6 places

  • School of Health Sciences: 8 places (including 5 for the Medicine degree)

  • School of Communication and International Relations: 5 places

(*)Degree in Pharmacy (taught jointly by Blanquerna and IQS): 2 places (in the case of these two scholarships, 50% of enrollment fees and tuition is covered and the award process is different). All high school students with a minimum grade average of 8.5 and CFGS students with a minimum grade average of 9.0 who are entering the university for the first time are eligible to apply. Requirement: Must have already applied for admission.

From March 2 to June 8, 2026.

Fill out the application form, which will be activated starting March 2, and attach the following documents:

  • Certificate accrediting the grade average obtained
  • Photocopy of ID card, NIE residence card or passport

A specific test must be taken for each intended course of study.

June 15, 2026, at 10 a.m. The test will be held in person at the school where you plan to study. Candidates will be sent the necessary information by email a few days in advance.

Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull reserves the right not to award all prizes after evaluating all applications and tests conducted.

For applicants to the Medicine degree program, the exam that will be taken into consideration is the one from the admissions process.

The resolution will be made public on May 26, 2026. For high school students who receive the award, it will become effective if they submit their university entrance exam receipt or foreign high school title homologation application before May 26, 2026.

Academic excellence awards for university master's degrees

  • School of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences: 2 places
  • School of Communication and International Relations: 2 places
  • School of Health Sciences: 1 place

All university graduates directly accessing official university master's degree courses may apply, provided they have a minimum grade average of 7.5 in the university degree that renders them eligible. The grade average will be weighted by credits as follows:

  • numerical: the grade score
  • classification: pass-5.5, good-7.5, very good-9, excellent (matrícula d'honor)-10, validated/recognized-5.5, validated with qualification-the grade score.

Requirement: Must have already applied for admission.

July 7, 2026. The test will be held virtually. Candidates will be sent the necessary information by email a few days in advance.

The Blanquerna Foundation reserves the right not to award all prizes after evaluating all applications and tests conducted. In case of a tie on the test, the school may decide to split the award between two candidates, with 25% to each student. Applying for the excellence award does not prevent you from going through the place application process in parallel.

The resolution will be made public on July 20, 2026. All applicants will receive the aid decision personally. Schools may decide to split the award between two candidates, with 25% to each student. The deadline for submitting documentation is July 17, 2026.
