Meet speech therapist Laura López, technical director of the applied psychology centre Kinderapia
Laura López Blanco is a speech therapist, Blanquerna alumni and technical director of the Kinderapia psychology, speech therapy and early care centre. She is responsible for coordinating the team and carrying out reception, diagnostic and treatment visits to families, as well as managing social networks. She also works at the Saint Nicholas School to help students with language, speech and learning difficulties.
Speech and language therapy intervention in the case of the recovery of Jordi Roca's voice
Jordi Roca (1978, Girona) began to suffer problems with his voice in 2016. He stated on his social networks that "for more than 7 months I have been suffering from a severe aphonia that prevents me from speaking normally, it is related to a cervical dystonia that I have suffered from for years". Now he has been able to announce his good progress of recovery.
The report by four students of the Journalism of Society seminar to raise awareness of Minority Diseases has been selected
The seminar on Journalism of Society (4th year), taught by Professor Jaume Risquete, covered on February 28 the event on the occasion of the World Day of Minority Diseases, which was held in Barcelona, in the auditorium of La Pedrera, hosted by the Platform for Rare Diseases (comprising patient associations, the Catalan Federation of Rare Diseases and the Spanish Delegation of Rare Diseases).
