News about lessons in Blanquerna-URL

Blanquerna-URL guarantees all the necessary security measures inside its buildings at all times. It is important to mention that the staff, lecturers and students of Blanquerna-URL have scrupulously followed all the basic rules: maintaining distance, washing hands and wearing masks inside the buildings. But, due to the situation of the Covid pandemic in Catalonia, and following the indications laid out by the Inter-university Council of Catalonia, we are under the obligation to take the following measures:

1- As of Thursday, October 15th (provided there is no last minute modification) most face-to-face classes will move on-line for a period of 15 days (ending October 30th), with the exception of practical classes or research activities. It should be borne in mind that, according to our educational model, most subjects are not exclusively theoretical.

2- Each school will send out a communiqué tomorrow, Wednesday, indicating the mode to be followed by each of the courses.

3- The Schools and all the facilities will remain open. The teaching staff who wish to continue teaching online from the university premises can do so.

4- As regards the administrative staff - as a general rule - they will be able to work online two days per week, if they wish to do so, as long as their responsibilities in their respective departments are covered. For this, they will need to reach an agreement with the Dean’s offices (each School) or management (general services).

The goal, during these 15 days, is to avoid mobility. As has already been published, contagion occurs mostly during the course of social contacts: large family meetings, meetings with friends, weekend outings, parties, etc. In this regard, I ask you to demonstrate responsibility to the greatest extent possible, by avoiding situations which put you at risk, the consequences of which end up affecting us all.
