More than a dozen universities pitch in the GlobCom Symposium 2021
Around the subject of “Well-being, the new corporate narrative”, students from all over the world competed to present the best PR project in front of a jury of international lecturers.
During two days, students and specialists in corporate communication came together in Barcelona, to celebrate the XIXth GlobCom Symposium, hosted by the Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations.
In the Official Opening of the Symposium, Dr. Josep Maria Carbonell, dean of the School greeted all the participants and pointed out how Barcelona, in spite of the pandemic, keeps being in the crossroads of culture, views, and narratives: “And we’ve been involved since the beginning in this project with such an international perspective”.
Organized in teams, students from different universities were to present in front of a jury, the public relations projects and campaigns developed during the academic year. In total, 14 universities participated in this new edition: Emerson College (USA), Curtin University (Australia), Erfurt University (Germany), the Institute of Journalism & Mass Communication (India), Università degli studi di Udine (Italy), AUT University (New Zealand), Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (Portugal), Saint Petersburg State University (Russia), Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Zayed University (Abu Dhabi), Leeds Beckett University (United Kingdom), Stellenbosch University (South Africa), Vilnius University (Lithuania) and Ramon Llull University (Spain).
