Masterclass with the scriptwriters of the TV series Gomorra
Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravaglia, the scriptwriters of the series "Gomorra", offered under this year’s Serielizados Fest, a masterclass on Italian crime.
The event was moderated by Diego Sotelo, coordinator of the script of the TV adaptation of the book "Fariña," a story of drug trafficking in Galicia.
"A crime -Fasoli said- is only the tip of the iceberg. There is much more hidden beneath the surface. "In this way, Italian fiction delves into a world of shadows and reveals the framework of a criminal organization such as the Camorra, which controls the drug trade in the area of Campania.
Based on the book by Roberto Saviano, one of the great challenges of the scriptwriters of "Gomorra" was to create a fiction that mirrored a clear and immediate reality, and stressed at the same time, the complexity of the adaptation process of journalistic material for writing a television script.
