Where to publish

To choose the journal in which to publish your research there are two essential criteria to consider:

  1. The subject matter: that the journal addresses the subject of the article
  2. Impact rates: that it has a presence in the impact indicators assessed by the AQU

Other important criteria:

  • Open access
  • Speed of publication
  • Rejection rate
  • Number of articles published

Searching the WoS and Scopus databases will provide you with a list of journals on your topic that have a high impact rate.

Wos and Scopus are two databases that only contain articles with a high impact factor and you can use them to fin a list of the journals best suited to your article.

Log on to the Web of Science

In the "All databases" dropdown, select:

  • Web of Science Core Collection

In the "Collection" dropdown, select:

  • Science Citation Index Expanded
  • Social Science Citation Index
  • Arts & Humanities Citation Index
  • Emerging Science Citation Index

Once you have made this selection, you can do the search.
