Injury prevention and improvement of sports performance

With the exponential growth that performance sport and athletes themselves are experiencing, it is becoming increasingly important to acquire skills in the world of training and injury prevention. The knowledge acquired is essential to be able to work safely and judiciously in this specialty.

Aimed at graduates in Physiotherapy and SES and 4th year students.

Objectives

Detect weaknesses that could cause an injury.

Analyze and evaluate the techniques and methods to be applied individually.

Control the risk of injury.

Improve the physical performance of players.

Graduates in Physiotherapy and SES and 4th year students

Course content

  • Introduction to eccentric work.
  • Different machinery used, possibilities and utilities.
  • Assessment and prevention of injuries.
  • Microcycle planning and structure.
  • Variability of strength training
  • Initial assessment of the Physiotherapist.
  • Prevention and rehabilitation of injuries.
  • Working with teams.
  • Returning to competition.

Course participants will receive a certificate of attendance. Attendance to 80% or more of the sessions is required to obtain it.
