Winter School in Journalism and Art & Culture, successfully finished
The very first Blanquerna Winter School 2019 in Journalism and Art & Culture has just finished last week. We've received 13 students from different regions in China. Coordinated by Mei Huang, the program was taught by Judith Colell, Maddalena Fedele, Giorgia Miotto, Joaquin Beltran, Mei Huang, and Daniel Pifarre.
The course has been structured around classes such as Cinematic Direction Theory and Practices, Art History and Model Architecture, New Media Study and Self Branding in New Digital Age as well as Introduction of Culture & Art in Spain and the current situation of Chinese Immigration. As part of the Winter School, the students visited many significant cultural and art places in Catalunya such as Sagrada Familia, the city of Girona, Parc Guell, Futbol Club Barcelona, and CCCB, among others.
The participants of the Winter School showed great interest in our facilities and courses, and we hope to receive them again as master students in Blanquerna very soon. Preparations are being made for the next Summer School this July. Last summer, around 30 Chinese students joined Blanquerna Summer School.
